The Minnesota Free-mo Modelers have been invited to setup at the Minnesota Transportation Museum for their Railroading at the Roundhouse event September 11th through 13th, 2009. Minnesota Free-mo Modelers would like to extend the invitation to the Free-mo community. Layouts will be set up in both HO scale and N scale.

This will be a unique event featuring clinic and workshop topics, rail fanning, prototype modeling, regional railroad history, model railroad operations, DCC and model railroad electronics, air brush painting, constructing laser and urethane kits all located in the historic Jackson Street Roundhouse in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The Jackson Street Roundhouse is one of North America’s last fully operational roundhouse facilities. The roundhouse was a former steam engine maintenance facility for the Great Northern Railway and is now home to the collections of the Minnesota Transportation Museum, the Northern Pacific Railroad Historical Association and the Great Northern Railway Historical Society.
