Alberta Freemo

This event is hosted by the Calgary Freemo Group  in concert with the Chilliwack Freemo Group as well as  The Battle River Modular Model Railroad Group.  This will be the sixth annual setup,  last year's setup had over five hundred feet of benchwork, 40 + individual module owners & several group owned modules.  This is billed as "Come Run A  Train With Us"  to help promote model railroading in general & the freemo concept in particular. We have a byob (bring your own beef)  barb-q on saturday evening, with pot luck salads, veggie trays & desert trays. A member of the Calgary group is a chef who has put on a beautiful display at the pot luck table. We also have a slide show & or video (s) on saturday evening,  which is by the way "Long Train NIght",  nothing less than fifty cars after nine pm.   The layout runs continuously for the duration of the event (usually operational by late friday night) .  We would love to see you & by all means "Come Run A Train With Us"  There are several camping spots available or you can book rooms in nearby  Stettler (30 min), Innisfail (45 min) or a little further Red Deer (1hr 20min)  please contact calgary freemo if you would like to participate so we can arrange the layout to accomodate you &  or your modules.
